Yeah just stick with your power auger. It's not equally pushing and pulling when comparing using the right or the left hand to do the turning. If you picture it in your mind, or just take the auger with the blade guard on and drill the floor, you will notice the following:

When you hold your right hand on the top handle and turn with the left, push from left to right to begin drilling. Pushing has the most power. However, when you are done pushing and it's time to pull, you are pulling towards yourself, which isn't so difficult. Now try using your left hand to hold the top handle and the right hand to do the turning. To turn the handle from left to right, towards yourselfm you need to use only practically your deltoid muscle to first pull just away from you and then finally toward you. Of course then you are pushing back to the left again, but every time you are pulling outward, from left to right, that is your weekest spot.
Well then just put the blades on the opposite way , then you won't be pulling your pudd anymore......Righties rule !!! LMFAO !!!

Wise guy, that won't work. The flights are made so that the snow is pulled up only if you are turning clockwise and the blades have a specific chisel angle that makes them work only in the way they are initially set up.
