Hit the ice for first time in over 3 weeks, due mainly to an 8 day trip to Florida to end February. Managed to land all 3 species in a lake I fished for the first time since last March.

Glad to have finally hit this lake again, snow cover up there has been crazy all winter, and even yesterday, it took some considerable effort to trek out on foot with my gear in deep snow.
Struggled all morning trying to locate schools of largies and perch in their usual 24-28 foot depth on this given lake. After fishing 35 holes with only a few smaller fish to show for, ended up moving to other side of lake and switching things up. Still wasn't able to find any schools, fish were scattered in depths ranging from 16 to 28 feet. Strangely enough, only laned a few perch, typically, I find them in huge schools of jumbos.
Kind of weird, as I'm the only one fishing that lake all winter, never seen any other holes or signs of anyone else fishing their on ice, due to tough parking and access.
