Thought this was pretty cool……
I marked this huge school of bait this winter fishing on Chaumont. I watched it build from nothing to major intensity. Then it slowly dissipated and they all swam off like leaves in the wind. Was wild

You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates. I met all my wives in traffic jams, there's just somethin' women love about a pickup man ( and fresh perch fillets ).

Glad you pounded the perch man, they look great and enjoy the fish fry

your right! I ain’t putting it away quite yet but I can’t fish till Saturday and I’m not getting my hopes up. Gonna have to take a little field trip Friday after work

that looks more like a school of perch or crappie than bait
at least to me

When I first marked them they looked like thousand of little specs. As they grew with numbers the intensity increased. Never really marked as sizable perch or other panfish.

It’s not over till it’s over. Over 15 inches of ice still in northern adk but it’s going quick, especially shore ice. Jigged up some more perch and had a bonus smallmouth give me a good fight.

Nice work. How do you like the snow dog? Been thinking about getting one as I’ve been a walker. Seen a bunch of them out this year they look cool.

I like it a lot. Have had it for about 3 years now. Been a game changer especially on the bigger lakes up north. Handles slush and heavy snow pretty well just slows down as to be expected. It’s been helpful for dragging deer out of a few spots during hunting season as well.

Great pics - and yes - it's hard to believe the amount of ice I've found late season...you just have to know where to go, right?

But I do hear the fat lady clearing her voice.

I'm a fellow SnowDog owner as well...aren't they GREAT...?!  It's been a Godsend.  Used only on ice in northernmost NYS - winters only.

PLGoose...I know it's the end of the season - but with retirement and relocation in my (near) future - I might be sending my SnowDog down the road.  She's very (very) clean and starts and runs like a scared rabbit!  Same brown camo as Scooch - but he has an upgraded front light.
