yepper, I like the old style  better than the new.
Like them real good.
pump them 3 times about 4" stroke and they make a "clover" pattern when they fly.

i picked up a northland tackle air plane jig the other day at cabala's and hope to try out sometime soon.

what is the difference between the old style and new style air plane jigs? any pictures or links?

the new style looks like a cross between a oblong jig with wings and jigging rapala.
they now look more like the jigging rapala.
The old style was a oblong jig with a couple small round wings.
The new style still has the rounded wings.

there should be lots of the old style out there for sale.

I forgot to mention that the larger sizes were excellent for lake trout.
That is the "classic" old style.
