Well, I guess us Colorado boys get two months of tourney "practice" fishing in Nov and Dec.

I signed up, but not sure what all the categories are, or exactly what the big hoopla is all about, but if it's half as fun as it sounds, I'm all in!

It's definitely fun, Raptor!  It makes catching more exciting.  They usually have categories for trout, perch, bass, pike, crappie, etc.  If you catch a big fish that challenges the leader board, you just post it and hope for the best.  But you can even post a "short" entry in any category (any fish will do), and be entered in the weekly drawing throughout the season.  No need to challenge the leader board--just post in the short section. Just make sure you follow the entry photo rules EXACTLY or your entry will be DQd.  Good luck and have fun!

Thanks Bassman.  You wouldn't happen to have an example of the pictures that are required do you?  I think I understand what the rules are stating, but would like to have something to reference just to make sure.  I guess I can wait to see what others post, and then go from there as well.

Looking forward to it for sure!  I've never won anything like this in my life!!  Sounds fun none the less!

Yep, plenty of examples there to choose from -- you need two photos, actually.  One of the fish with measuring tape and tourney card, and then one of you holding the fish with the ice clearly showing in the background.  The fish must be ALIVE in the photos.  Just read through the rules to familiarize yourself.

Thanks a lot guys!  I get the idea now!  Pretty simple.  Gonna look through the 2015 photos, just to look at photos!
