mullet lake access
« on: Jan 07, 2020, 12:46 PM »
is there a public access near breaker's bar in topinabee? I was hoping to walk out to the submerged island there. Any other spots under a mile that are accessible?

there is a public access there. I will try and get a update on Mullet when I am there this weekend.

There is the park across from the gas station and a public access about 1/2 miles from the park heading north east of topinbee

A ice report for that area of the lake would be greatly appreciated, headed up there the first week in Feb.  Thanks

the lake appeared to be locked up the entire way but was hardly any shanties. a few of them were maybe fifty yards off of the shoreline. I am not sure if they are opening dams up or what but I do know the ice is sketchy as of this weekend.

Per a call to Pat & Gary's bait shop yesterday (1/13) afternoon, Mullet doesn't have safe ice right now.

Checked Mullett this weekend, wasn't even close.  Maybe an inch of ice, I lacked the courage to go further than 20 yards off shore.  Plenty of lakes around there have really good, safe ice, I wouldn't mess with Mullett unless we get some really cold weather, and you know the lake.

Any update on Mullet ice conditions?  Saw Mark Martins school was there on Jan 26 to 29 and looked they took out sleds. Can anyone from up that way verify conditions and the best access point for me because I am 2.5 hours away.

Up here now, snowmobiles, quads, and small side by sides on the lake, 6” of ice.
