Brent Nelson and son Hunter Nelson. Looking forward to meeting MD Shanty family!

I guess we'll have to start over since there probably won't be safe ice then. Maybe later in February the ice will be safe.

The Tournament planned for 19Feb06 out of Bills Outdoor Center has been postponed indefinitely. If Ice does come back we'll do something informal on short notice.
Keep doing the ice dance and maybe we'll be able to finish strong like we started.

Pretty good ice after this weekend...forecast looks good also. Maybe reschedule the first weekend in March?

I'll be up there with some friends, a few from IS and my local buds. Maybe we'll meet up with you all on the ice.
As far as an organized event, it's really difficult to plan an event with this much uncertainty about ice conditions. We'll try to do this next season for sure. The weather was just too iffy. Remember, to have a lot of people you have to have ice thick enough to hold a crowd and have ample parking too. Experience has shown at these events that some fishing goes on but for the most part people tend to gather together, share stories, eat, and BS for a lot of the time (and I'm guilty too), so I'd say a minimum of 6" is required to hold something like this.
We had two planned events in PA that worked out, one didn't (the Wilhelm one). Maybe next year we can plan both of them and have a good year of ice for a change!
