Nice! I love jigging for brook trout for the same reason, it gets frustrating at times with them just slashing at the bait but it’s so exciting watching them do it.  Man I want to get on the ice again. Next chance I have to do anything is Easter Sunday, I’ll be looking for some streams and brooks to fish, but will have my ice gear with me in case I find safe ice.

I didn’t get those 2 on that jig even though they were peppering it. I switched to a jig with a treble hook at a different hole and got one.

Nice video, Wayne.  I wonder if scaling down to a small jig tipped with a maggot, waxworm, etc. would get solid hookups.

Jim, Good idea on the smaller jig. I had some small bibbits I will give that a whirl for next season. I ‘m switching it up to open water. See you all on the other site. Thanks for all your responses this season it was a fun one!
