I'll be out there again this weekend for certain.

I saw too much open water this past weekend at FAB.  I especially got a kick out of the guys taking a boat up and down the shoreline south of the beach.

Take either a PFD or jig from an inflatable raft of you're planning on going out.

Not saying all bass fishermen.   But alot of them show no respect for other boaters.    Nothing like have a bass boat zip by you flat out less then 30 yards away.     Champlain during a tourney is just plain stupid.    And I do know some of the people make and female that do the tourneys

weekend boaters are just as bad as bass fisherman. easily. cant tell you how many days im fishing a shoreline or off shore rock pile only to have some hot shot pullin his kid behind a jet boat come flyin by me. but people let that go cause its a family doing family things, I don't care who it is its rude. just sayin there's a lot of boaters out there these and they don't always do what we want or drive where we want.

are you serious?

your only issue with us, is our boats speed. Thats what it comes down to. I cant tell you how many ignorant weekend boaters have no respect. Cutting us off, telling us to get out of their way when they clearly have a whole lake, bringing water skiiers right by us. Us bass guys actually have control of our boats....most of the weekend boaters I cant say the same about.

BTW I like your edit. Since I jumped under your skin you deleted you calling us "bassholes"

I will take a bass boat zipping by my Lund any day over the dumb crap boaters that don't even know how to drive that seem to be all over lake george, saratoga, the hudson and mohawk rivers.   And bass boaters know how to launch and unlaunch quickly...unlike almost EVERYONE ELSE.

i will have to say ive had some bass boats fly by me on the canal going mach10! and the canal is only 100 feet wide. they could let up on the throttle just a bit when they come by me while im fishing in my canoe! ive seen countless guys think its funny to swamp canoes! theres a thing called respect on the water and it goes bolth ways. i nkow on days when theres a touney i just stay home cause its not worth getting flipped in a canoe.

you guys do realize that a bass boat up on Plane (wide open throttle) Leaves NO wake and its absolute more considerate and calmer for anyone near by, right?

If that bass boat was WOT, and slowed down to go by you, you are going to get swamped by the wake....and be even more pissed.

next time pay attention to a bass boat's wake while WOT...there is no wake. They skim the waters surface.

It takes me less then 45 seconds when im ALONE to launch, and load up my boat...its rather frustrating sitting there for upwards of 20 minutes, watching people try to hand launch/hand load their boats. Its not that difficult.

Aint that the truth!

The hudson during the striper run (weekends in particular) takes the cake for moron boaters.  If i wasn't so busy fishing, I would sit in a lawn chair at the launch with a cooler and grill and enjoy the show!

My personal favorite is waiting to load behind the guys that back their trailer in so far that the fenders and bumpers are 3 feet under then sit there and scream at their wife to hold the boat still as the tide swings the boat side to side. He then cranks it on, its crooked, so he has to pull it out and start over, this takes place 2-3 times over the course of 20-30mins...  ::)

i seen a guy drop his motor to soon at south bay and smashed his prop on the concreate! he then sat there for almost an hour with his boat tied to the dock wondering why he wasnent going anywere when he punched the throttle. kinda amuzed me while i sat on shore while we worked on our engine out of the water!

I hear you there man.
They seem like more of a hastle than anything. I can't count the number of times I've jigged a limit of perch with my jig rod while my tipups just soak. The older I get, the less I use them.
