When using minnows for Crappies, what hook size do you use? #8

Thanks,

I've used anywhere from a 6 down to a 12, but generally an 8 or 10 will be plenty.

I use a 14 or 16 treble hook with an overhand knot to let the hook move freely. I use the treble hook because of better hook set in their paper mouths.

If you can use a treble, I would go with that.  Don't use a hook with too narrow of a gap or you will find yourself pulling it out of their mouths, rather than hooking them.

I use a small red treble hook or a size #6 single gold hook.
