East Shoal Lake

Anyone been there ? Ice / driving conditions ?  Want to maybe take the kid out this weekend so any info would be appreciated

Save some gas and take him to Balsam  (East side of LK WPG) instead. Better chance to at least catch a fish there. A friend recently fished SL 7 times and only landed 1 Pike. Sadly, a big waste of time imo.  ::)

Was out on west shoal three perch two pike and once again its not the haydays it once was but there are highs and lows and I've had many good days on the shoals.    Isn't it about some catch and time for oneself and or family on the ice. maybe just the beautiful weather and sky. suck it in its always a great day ice fishin .
