Oak Lake

Anybody been fishing at Oak Lake this year? Planning a weekend trip but have never been before. Can anybody provide ice conditions? Is it accessible by truck? Where would be the best place to get onto the lake? Any info would be helpful, thanks in advance.

Entrance is west side at pipestone creek. The snow is hard and it it tough getting around, there has been a bit of  plowing done so you can get on, but can't go very far. With the snow packed on top of the ice my auger almost needed the extension. I got my limit  of walleye 3 weeks ago, but, it has been very slow since. Nice weekend coming up so maybe I will try again.

Anyone been to the lake after the storm this week? How are the access points at cherry point and the west side? Can you still get on the lake with a 4x4? or would it be better to bring the sled?
