was a bitter cold weekend at the beautiful black lake...here's the gang with sundays catch

the frozen solid fish had to thaw them out before we took the knife to them..

one of the little guys with his 11 1/2 in crappie...(his personal best)

9lbs of fresh perch...pike...gills.. .sunnies...and of course crappie filets...

and to end a fun filled weekend ...i took this picture..

black lake is having a great year with the size and numbers of the fish we have been catching we also had 30-40 flags this weekend and kept 5 of the biggest...well untill next time good luck and stay on top!!!!...zeke

Nice mess of fish. Two friends and I were up near you fishing Saturday. We had a 3 hour trip and did not get on the lake until late morning. We only caught about 20 perch, all were finger size. Was not sure what we were doing wrong. I talked with the two ladies at the ice shed in your pics. Both were very nice.

Awesome catch "Crappie" very jealous. Havent had ice for oh....ummmm its been awhile. Atleast 3-4 weeks. (started pulling hair out a few days ago) I'm glad somone is out enjoying what god intended us to do.

Nice job. Just think what you could have had if you would've taken the boys from Black Lake. I'd always let them miss a day of school to ice fish. We're headed to camp now but I hear getting on the ice is difficult. We'll find something to do...as long as they keep making KEYSTONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
