But then you wouldn't have time to go fishing.

Shop would be on the ice with two holes in the floor.  And I'd hire trained skwirrels to help sell !  ;D

Seems like a solid plan to me.
It doesn't sound that appealing to most people I talk to, but going out onto a frozen lake and staring into a hole for the day is my favorite thing to do.

I have a friend who works at our local Sportsmans Warehouse.  He said that the employees were told that there would be no changes until June.
My Setup:  Otter XL sled on a smitty.  10" Strikemaster Lithium 50 Volt auger.  Clam Bigfoot XL 2000 hub.  Garmin Striker 5 Ice Bundle.

All the more reason to support your local shop. The pandemic put a lot of shops out of business. One local store by me survived using self service for bait sales.

I haven't had a local bait shop since the 90s.  The big box stores used to have a decent selection, now they have nothing but junk.  Now Cabelas/bass pro don't even have anything.  Seems like now would be the perfect time to start a small bait shop.

LOL...well it was the kid who says...cylinder block into square shape - thunk, triangle block into square shape -thunk...hammer and saw will fix that, no problem...bang bang bang, zip zip zip...it's all in pieces now.  Now that he's grown up...at least small items will fit into square shape.  ;D

They do ridiculous shipping stuff to me pretty much anytime I order from them, but this one took the cake.

Couple of my friends work at Cabelas and they tell me Pro-Bas bought Cabelas not to close all the stores but to put more money into the good locations.  Pro-Bass has put a lot of effort into the Cabelas store in my area of WNY and the name Cabelas has stayed the same.  The store was stocked very good this year for all departments I shopped.  The only thing their short of is ammo and it is not from the Pro-Bass merger.

I used to order regularly from Sportsman's guide. I joined their club. members get a discounted price. I ordered a few things erly on during the membership and then they never had anything that I wanted. I decided to cancel my menbership within that first year. They reimbursed me for the cost of the membership but DEDUCTED whatever my membership saved me during that time. Have not ordered from them since

and, then, there is this. a battery for my fishfinder. box had been dropped multiple times. the only packing material a single bubble cushion on the bottom that had popped. What you see is the plastic bag that the battery was in.

Why would you go to Cabelas for a watch band?  Or a pillow?

Confused here...

How long ago was that? I had a membership for a couple three years, then just let it lapse....no issues, other than about a month later what I wanted WAS on sale.  ::)

I have to tell you, since Bass Pro took over Cabela's the one in Pa went down hill. Nothing I mean nothing is in stock anymore. They used to have a really good ice fishing selection but 2 weeks ago they only had one tip up. I'm not a big fan of the Bass Pro clothing I feel that it was a mistake getting rid of the Cabela's clothing line. Just my opinion.
