Yes - I've used my Slammer Tip-Ups for 'gills and perch. With certain rods set shallow I have also flung bluegills, perch, and shiners out of the hole and onto the ice and/or dock.
I was fishing one of my Slammers with the Wig-Jigger wind-jigging attachment for steelhead last season with a Glopedo steelhead jig tipped with a couple of wigglers. I couldn't keep the slab 'gills and Pumpkinseeds off of it. Every time I'd get it reset and walk away, it'd go off with another fish on it. I eventually pulled the Slammer out of that hole and re-baited it with a spawn sac and set it in deeper water. I sat over the "hot" hole and jigged. I easily caught over a hundred panfish - unfortunately no steelhead that day.
