Just bought one off my buddy for 100$ and was wondering how many people have this unit and how many use it at their main sonar for jigging up fish thanks to all

you stole it awesome unit for the price.  i used mine as my main last year but this year i got a x67c lowrance but my trusty troller will be out with me everytime.

LOVE IT!  I was unsure of it when I got it last yr for X-mas, after 1 day, the Vex stays home now.  Another plus to the vert display is it's easier to teach newbies & kids how to read it.  It took me a bit to get used to, now I like it better.  Being able to rely on it in the shanty or go hole hopping walking around w/ ease is great.

I love it. Use it to find depths for tip ups then use it to jig with. I have no need for any other unit it works great for me.

Love mine, only negative is interference with different brands of flashers if they're close. No sounding tip-up's just stick it in the hole and put the bait where you want it.

i just use mine for interference when im near someone else.  otherwise i never touch it unless im getting alot of crap on my screen.

The noise button in for fishing around other people with sonars.  It will help eliminate the interference.

3 of us fish together and 2 of us have the full size units. We love them. I was hard headed and didn't want to use one but after trying my buddy's out I bought one and love it. Never go ice fishing again with out it.

I  got one, I am not as fanatic for Ice fishing  as some of you, I go out , find depht, jig some, Tip ups etc, tells you if the hole is good, , does everything, fits in my pocket. Go to marcum for a manual, easy as pie.

They are great for sounding holes before drilling.  If fishing an area you have never fished, then they can save you from hitting bottom with your auger and save time from drilling holes that don't have the water you are looking for.  If you have never used the troller or showdown for this then all you have to do is clear a small spot down to the ice, dump a little water on the ice, and place the transducer on the ice and you will get your depth from top of ice to the bottom.
