ice fishing line

Well I was so. Bored siting in front of the tv playing with tackle I. Stumbled on some old light 2and3 pound tippit material for fly or trout fishing so I put it on the ice. Rods and it looks good let's only hope we can test it out for real soon  ???  >:(

Test that line well, it does have a self life and breaks down as it gets older.

I just replaced my old line from last year with berkley fireline 1lb test[0.06mm] all i do is jig fish
i try to replace mine almost every year

ya i like jiging with the braid iwant to try that new berkley white line they got it comes in really light pound tests to

Are you talking about that nanofil stuff? I was looking at it the other day and there is no way I can justify paying 20.99 a spool.

no do not plan on it. just have to use a Palomar knot like fire line. the great Gamma and DC have used it during the soft water season and say its great. we will have to see ;D

i have no problem spending a lot of money on good line but i dont like to be one of the first ones to try it thru the ice in cold conditions to see how it handles. but i will ;D only plan on using it on my walleye rods for now. @)

  I haven't used it yet, but I hope it has more stretch than braid...I'll have a mental break down like last year when I dumped like 6 eyes at the hole in a row with power pro...Mono may produce less strikes but you dump way less at the hole...Hows that go Fred? I'll only fish for biters anyway.  ;D

      I have a couple different lb tests . Seems good so far I soaked it in the sink and then put it in the freezer and it didnt ice up  @)

hey kid it doesn't matter if the bites on your doomed and you got to till noon to get me out of your head or game over nano has a little give still love my fire line no stretch , don't see how i can crank one any faster 30-0 in 10 seconds  :woot:

it is sorta white but it is round so ice doesn't stick and very low vis.
