Where might hold lakers on this lake?
« on: Mar 06, 2019, 06:17 PM »
Going laker fishing this weekend. Northern canada.  Lake is sandy bottom and clear. About 24" of ice and lots of snow cover (1.5ft to 2ft) .

Yellow dot - we have caught a couple here. Sand point with sharp drop off. Goes from 4 ft to 70ft in 100ft. Fished in 70 to 80 ft

Any input of other spots to try? Thanks

I would drill all the points with the steep drops on them. The points work as choke points to find fish cruising by. The basin is the highway. Any idea on forage? That might help on where to look.

Thank you Lord for thinkin bout me. I'm alive and doin fine!!!!!!

Most of my laker fishing here is in reservoirs where we don’t have a lot of classic lake structure like humps. I mostly fish the edge of big flats where they drop from say 60’ to 150’.
