Decoys???

I'm always on eBay looking for fishing gear and notice decoys for sale. Perch, walleye , trout, etc. Does anyone actually use these around here? Or are they a nice paper wait?? The only thing I can think of is they are used to attract big fish like pike or something.  ???

they are used for spearfishing for pike/musky out of a dark house. We arent allowed to spear pike in RI, but you could use them to attract them i guess.
