10" strike master auger on older motor?

I would like a 10" auger sometimes and have one of the first strikelite power heads, 4 stroke 8", that runs great and was wondering if I could just buy the 10" auger for it.

I've got a 5 year old Solo with a 10". Its the same 2.5 hp motor they put on the 8".

Yep. Should work fine. Just don't try to run a Jiffy drill on a SM powerhead (or vice versa). One is CW and the other is CCW......
