Fl8 genz pack fits poorly in vexilar case

I bought my son a  red vexilar soft case for his fl8. It suits on a blue genz pack. I made sure that the case is for a square bottom genz pack and I am very dissatisfied with how it fits in the case. I cannot get the front flap to close because the round PC around the dial sticks out waaay to far. The Velcro on the flap does not even co close to the mating piece. I also have a Glen's outdoor case that is identical and it fits exactly the same. Any help or input on this will be greatly appreciated, I think I will also contact vexilar. Thanks!

Loosen the gimbal screws some... so the head unit can swing freely/perpendicular to the Genz box...on my older Pro pack case/bag I have to do this after using it in the "viewing position" after a days outing .

I am a moron thank you,  the thought never crossed my.mind because the rectangle cut out in the back fits the unit perfectly
