I thought I might share some pictures of some Perch we've caught through the ice this winter in New Mexico.
The lake is Eagle Nest near Angle Fire. The ice thickness is usually ~12" and last for a couple months. This weekend it was almost 30" (must be Global Warming). The holds Perch, Rainbow, and Kokes. We usually catch 1-2 Rainbows and 30-60 perch between a couple of us.
The perch are usually 8-10 inches and until this year, i'd never seen one near 12". I caught my first 12" a few weeks ago which is in the first picture. This past Saturday, we caught 6 12" and above. I didn't get a pic of the biggest one which was ~15" (looked like a pig) but here are my 3 biggest.

Ya. They might not be that big for most of you guys but for us in NM, they're pretty big pigs.
