Anyone own a Camo Artic Suit?
« on: Sep 01, 2010, 11:56 AM »
I was looking the other day and found one online at spring prices and still had my size! So i ordered it and was wondering if anyone had one and could tell me alittle bit about this soft fuzzy shell i m hearing about. Is it durable? or am i gonna have to baby it  ??? Suposively its made that way to be alittle more quite while hunting which is Good! because hopefully ill be using this suit to take a bull elk this year but at the sametime i dont wanna ruin it before ice season! Any feedback would be helpful thanks in advance for your help!

For ice fishing...no problem.  Tends to have snow stick on it though so, not the best for kneeling around.

Your going to cook trying to hunt in it man. They dont breath at all so if your sweating your going to build up alot of moisture then get cold. When I have to walk on to my fishing spot I dont put my arctic armor on until I get there because I will get all sweaty then its tough to keep warm. Once your on the ice its great because your typically not running around and it totally cuts the wind which is half the battle, if layered properly you will be nice and comfortable all day.

Theses suits are Saskatchewan winter approved.

I agree with Layne 100%.   You wouldn't be happy wearing one of their outfits on a elk hunt.

Is it possible 2 take some of the 3 layers out or are they in the coat permanantly?

I only have a coat and bibs - Haven't heard of an arctic armor "layered" system.

They are permanently sewn together.

I have one also. I got it 2 years ago. Light weight, aesy to move in, WARM, sometimes too warm. The only thing I don't like is that the camo ones run smaller than the ice fishing set.
If fishing was work I'd never be sick!
