I havent taken the time to put up many pictures this year or even reports. I will try and do that a bit more from here on out. This has been a pretty typical year so far. I have been on some good bites and some not so good. As of late it seems like the fish are a bit more finicky so i have been having the best luck downsizing everything. 1 lb line, small ice flies, and a slow drop. As of last saturday i was still finding fish in the weeds, but at times this year i have found hen to be in some deeper 20 plus feet of water. I think with this warm up and melt we have had they have moved back into the weeds and around inlets where possible.
Pictures to.

I forced myself to throw back all of the 10+ inch gills this year. That's not an easy thing to do, but I still have cleaned plenty of fish this year.

I took my two girls out for a trip and we managed a couple. They ice skated quite a bit and fished a little. My oldest was able to jig a small bass up and caught it all by herself. That made for a proud Papa.

Fished on Erie and had a great trip. Love seeing those big marks rush off of the bottom and slam a bait.

Pretty much...my spots don't hold gold till then.

Looks like you had a great year Tater140! Mine has been just okay I guess, had to work for most fish. I've caught a decent number and kept all I wanted to clean, but really haven't hit a hot bite this season yet! Hex

Nice job and looks like some good memories. My kid is too young to get on the ice but can't wait for boat season this year. I am excited to get him on some hard water but can wait...dont want him to grow up too quickly.
He also wants to kiss the fish when I bring them home. I'm not sure where he learned that. Last few trips I came home with no fish and he said "why no fish daddy"

Thanks for sharing the pics. Nice to see the kids with you enjoying the outdoors. Didn't get out as much as I usually do due to remodeling the house. Enjoyed the pics and info guys posted. Good luck this spring and summer.
