I am thinking about hitting silver lake tomorrow. Anyone know what the ice is like? How about hogback, fox?

appreciate it. Not that I know much about ice and how it is made or how fast it melts, but weather looks promising to me. I will out there soon. Last time on Silver was my best day out this year, only 15 keepers. But still my best day!

silver is normally pretty good last ice. From the church, if you look out on the lake go to the left. There is a patch of reeds out that directon with a nice 8-10ft weedbed in front of it. Killed the gills/ears with a few crappies mixed in a couple yrs ago in that spot!

the ice is probably better at fox because of the afternoon shade on the ramp

ice is good to go on Silver and Fox. I was on both today. Good 7 or 8 inches of ice. edges are good. I went out from the church on silver and the boat launch on fox.

It was tuff drilling holes with my 8 inch auger. The ice has many layers. Didnt stay at Silver long. Got 7 at Fox. I will be back out this weekend. Hoping for a little sun this time

We didnt get as much as you guys did.  When I left for work this morning there was maybe 4 inches of fresh snow.  We got about 4 Sunday night to but some of that settled.  Id guess 6 or 7 total between the 2.
