Alright,here's what happened. 3 weeks ago I put the shanty on. Later that week it snowed alot. The weight of the snow had been pushing the water up through this hidden hole for 3 weeks. To be fair,it could have been an 8" hole to begin with. When I put the shanty on there was 8" of ice. 3 weeks later there is only 9" of ice because snow is an insulator. The water coming through a hole isn't even freezing cause of the snow. So here's what it looks like now. 9" ice,3" water, 1" frozen snow, and 6" snow on top. What a mess. With all the snow coming Wednsday, I don't expect there to be much more than 9" all year.
