Northern Maine (Aroostook) Outing
« on: Dec 28, 2010, 07:55 AM »
Not normally a social kind of fisherman but there are now a number from northern Maine on the site.  Last year we had the perch jerkers on Cross which was a good time.  Any interest in having another day (different lake different species) somewhere up here?

caught a mess of big pumpkinseed there drifting w/ worms in the summer. they would be fun to play with too. we'll have a competition for the most and biggest perch caught then fry em' up in johns beer and force feed them to him! LOL!

If I understood correctly, they had put 1500 trout in this fall, good sized ones too.

Very good trout fishing there but it is a put and take fishery.

We usually fish it once or twice a year, most of the time we have good luck. Good lake for a short day of fishing, not to far and easy access.

Just be careful not to park out in front of where the old Rainbow cove was, a certain State Farm agent that lives there has a category 5 panty wad if you even stop the truck to look at the lake in front of his place.

I have it on good authority though that if he harnesses fishermen this year one of the local wardens will gladly have him sign his name on some State of Maine paperwork  ;)
