Bet that was quite the ride. I ran a modern forwarder for about a year and you wouldn’t believe the power of a big maple tree when coming down.

 Longshoremen thank you for the photo, it would be interesting to see a video of how the front end loader/tractor is removed from the tree. I also hope no one was hurt.

I bet he's not a logger.  You never push a tree over half way through a back cut or it can split, you just guide it and let the tree's weight do the job.  Well at least he got experience.

that tree was a leaner and a down hill slope he should of bore cut that tree leaving a back strap for the final cut instead of back cutting it that's why it barberchaired and caught the loader bucket lifting the tractor in the air.
