Lake placid area
« on: Mar 02, 2019, 10:01 AM »
Hey all!
Heading up that way next weekend for the first time and was looking for some tips on decent ice fishing spots with easy access/parking.  I looked up lake flower, lower saranac, lake colby, oseetah etc. I’ll be hoofing it (no wheeler on this trip) so looking for somewhere walkable with a couple younger kids in tow.  Don’t really care what species just would like the kids to see a flag or two.  Thanks!

Whatever you do dont fish flower, oseetah has no public access. Flower is literally a river and has open water spots most the winter. If your taking the kids look into Jones pond its a great spot for  first timers and kids to chase flags all day. Guaranteed or your money back haha.
