Went yesterday and did OK. Several 10-12" perch and a 4# pike. At about 9:00 am I noticed a young bull moose walking onto the ice. He was actually curious as heck and kept stopping to see what I was doing. Wasn't concerned about me at all. After about 5 minutes, he crossed the narrow bay and went into the timber. At 75 years old, it takes a lot to impress me. I've ice fished NW Ontario and never saw a moose on the ice. Many packs of wolves but not a moose. Needless to say it made my day and perhaps my year. Truly thankful for the experience. FYI: Don't ask where because I've learned my lesson with stampeding groups of fisherman.
