Quality, yes, quantity, no. He stated that there were no quality Crappie in Colorado. That is not true.
there a few here out there,,, but how many 15-17 inches crappie have we see here in the state,,,we got in to  15-17 crappie most of the time out of the state,,,

I wonder how crowded Keyhole will be this winter with everyone wanting to get outside and away from the coronavirus? When I take my two trips over there, I go during the week and avoid the weekend crowd.

I think wyoming lakes might see a 20% ish increase in ice fishing traffic. Make be a little more. but nothing like more populated states like Colorado will see. I bet there's 100% increase in ice fishing traffic in Colorado.

There’s like a total of 350 people that live in Wyoming.  Keyhole will be fine.  ;D

And not many people from Denver will make the 6 he drive.

Nebraska has its own warmwater hotspots.
Flags up, gentlemen!!!

I got some decent perch last year on my second trip to Keyhole. Just fished out in deeper water (44-48) from where I was fishing for crappie.

Keyhole is definitely on my list of lakes to hit one of these days. Just need the time to make the drive.

It's a 6 hr drive from Denver, so... long distance!  But I guess if camping is possible, an overnight trip or three day trip can be worth it!  Tempting...
