With this frosty weather I might as well get started with this year's reports. For those who don't know I live right on the North Shore of lake Nipissing so I will be updating regularly as the ice forms on the lake. Here's the first report:

We had the first crusting!

November 14, 2019. The wind blew the first crust off the lake.

Another crust has formed:

Here is a bonus time lapse of Nipissing firming up yesterday

November 17 report. Here's another bonus time lapse.

Warm temperatures and high winds have stripped off the ice. It looks like we have another week of rain and warm weather. This may be the last ice report for a week or so.

Finally something to update. Another crust has formed.

The crust continues to solidify.

The ice is holding tight and building on Nipissing.
