What areas do you locals recommend staying away from with the UTV? Mike from Duncombe said just west of north boat ramp is not great but rest of the lake he thought was ok. He hadnt been out lately but had reports of 13" of ice. Any snow on the ice? Thanks.

how is the ice holding up at the boat ramps? Do you need planks yet to get on good ice? :)

Ice on the North end is around 6-8" now and the whole lake is froze over minus an area straight out East of the beach in the main lake that the geese kept open. I would say any bay would be safe for foot traffic now, but would definitely shy away from ATVs for another few days. Fishing has been really slow this last week with these temps. Few bluegills and crappies have been caught. I haven't heard of ice thickness in the main lake so use caution the further away from shore that you travel.
