Title: joe's valley, scofield and panguitch

planning a trip and was wondering about:
1. ice
2. type of fish
3. tips and tricks  ;D
I have never fished any of these waters through the ice or open water. any commentary would be much appreciated. thanks, Joe

Joe's Valley can be tough.  No ATVs.  Scofield is easy.  Small fish.  If I could fish any one of the three, it would be Panguitch.  Remember the slot limit.  I'd look for 20 FOW.  Wax worms on ice flies.  Lots of folks use powerbait.  Don't rule out salmon eggs.  Minnows (remember, they've gotta be dead) would produce bigger fish.
