....everyone has gotten there first flag by now (the ones that went fishing).
What species fish was your first flag of 07-08 ice fishing season?
If you lost the fish guess' are allowed.

Well i must say i was a little sceptical about fishing today. But when we got to the lake all was good. For the first time in 4 years Fishback killed us on the ice with 4 rainbows over 2 lbs. One of them had 7 shinners in it belly

spent most of the day checking ponds and when I finally geared up and went the hand auger wouldn't cut for crap so I spent most of the day messin around. But i did get 2 tip ups in no flags! The vex I had all charged up was dead cause some nice person in family unplugged it w/o disconnecting the cables!! Arrrghh!! But the gas auger started up right off ( after trip back home to get it) All in all not bad for Dec 8!!! Sunday Morning all set. for 1st fish of the season!!

Thanks man!  I am no longer awol but with my new schedule (I am working 24 hour shifts) I find that I am not online as much as I wish.  I am going home this morning (down south) to repair a shack and get my gear loaded in the car. I am going to make on last effort in a treestand for deer and then I will be back up here chasing fish!

So its going to be tough boosting up the post count while having a job.......I guess you'll just have to type faster, LOL JK.

I took one for the team today. I sat in my treestand as the storm hit.  In less than an hour I had almost and inch of snow covering me.  My release froze up pretty bad so I did the next best thing.....I rode my sled!
