Due to the thin ice I found off Lake Loop tonight, I’d suggest meeting at the Tower and fishing off there.  The ice should be great for us, and beautiful weather.  What do you guys think?

That's probably a good call.  I don't think the weather on Thursday/Friday/Saturday is going to help the ice one bit.  We need to keep an eye on that!

Tower sounds fine. We can easily bring the grills and such onto the ice there.   2ish?  That way we can set up and eat and BS then still have enough time for blading.

Guys I’m a ice fishing junky from Illinois but 2 of our sons live in Denver so I’m trying to get the “fisherman” of the 2 to come out to meet everyone. He isn’t a member on here yet but I’m working on that ! I sent him out there with some ice fishing gear so I hope he seizes the opportunity to come out to meet some new fishing buds. He’s really into fly fishing but really enjoys fishing through a 6” hole too !!  :

Location of the Ice Fishing Wellness Festival and Sausagefest is the black arrow on the top of the map, Tower Loop parking.  East Entrance is easiest.

I'm going to bring a few extra rods and reels for people who have never ice fished before. I have some friends that might come out and I told them not to worry about not having any gear. Just show up and be ready to have some fun!

I saw a few brave souls out several 100 yards from the south side, saw a few closer to shore also. Ice looks pretty good near the tower although no one was fishing on it, several were yesterday.
