Hey John.....I saw a few guys on buckets in canals on Jefferson at about 22 Mile.  There were also 4 guys on buckets in the marina at the curve of M29 where the pedestrian bridge goes over the highway.  The water in that part of the bay is still filthy however.   My canal was running pretty clean being that it is fed from the North Channel...so maybe the bay will clear up if we can get some shore ice over the shallows to stop it from getting stirred up.  Its coming ......Glenn

1/10/05 fished metro beach and caught a ton of perch.  Only setback was they were all about 4".  Ice was 5" where we were and varied throughout the area from 1" to 6".  Be safe out there!

Whats going on guys just had a little free time from the bait store and thought i would seek out some information from all the local members.  I know with the warm weather conditions and all the rain that most of lake St. Claire has been recked but does anyone know if there still remains any ice in the metrobeach area?  Me and my father were planning on seeking out on monday Martin Luther King Day if the weather proceedes well!  Just thought i would see if any locals were still out and about i didnt think they would be but if they are please inform me thanks Bryan.

OK I'LL play dumb, maybe just uninformed.  Since I just found this site and only have made a couple of posts, but alot of reading, I have only a small question.  I have been ice fishing for a while but I never heard of a lure  being referred to by the name of Hali.  What type or brand is it?

Sorry Guys, everywhere I fished this year there, all I ever caught was dinks, I have not seen it like that my whole life, try finding info on the canadian side of the lake, St. Lukes, St. Anns, and Mitchells Bay. It may be better over there!!!

I fished the shore line along the air force base all day yesterday all we caught were dinks and didn't ahve a bite after 3pm  Only consistant fish we found was in seven foot of water almost to the big marina.  The water was real cloudly the last foot or so.

Hello,
I am new to the board and wondering if this discussion includes the Grosse Pointe area of Lake St. Clair. I have some questions about this certain alcove of Lake St. Clair in GP that was a popular ice fishing spot when I grew up in Michigan - could someone let me know if I'm in the right place?

Thanks!

Your in the right place, but everyone is probably switching over tothe summer site.  I have never fished down that way. What was your question.
