If you don't mind me asking what lake did you catch it on? what depth? what lure? where did you access? how thick is the ice? how much snow? what size hole?

Do you know her weight?

I wouldn't mind catching one of them through the ice, they area a blast in the open water.

Im not sure what the weight was but it was 30" and 22" girth I always wanted to get a carp through the ice just wish you could get them more often. trash fish or not they are a blast hauling in.

very true, trash fish or not, one heck of a fighting fish to catch.
I'm sure that a 10# carp would out fight a 10# walleye.

i have been trying to catch a carp all winter long but have had no succses , it's good to see someone caught one . good catch.

WOW I don't know what I would do if I had that giant on the end! Never really targeted Carp only during soft water with my bow. Its a lot of fun fishing/hunting for carp on the St. Lawrence River. Nice catch!

That must have been a blast on that jigging rod! If it was 30 by 22 it's probably a high teen, maybe pushing 20. I targeted them open water all spring summer and fall and I can't wait to get one through the ice. I'm just worried about how I'm going to get the big ones through the hole.

Same here, shot the tourney up there for the big carp and couldn't believe the size of the average fish.

That right there is a good one!
