I had a couple hours this afternoon, and five shiners left from last weekend, so I went to Greylock Glen in Adams.
It was a nice sunny day with blue skies, and temps in the lower 40's.
We had received about 16" of snow during Storm Stella last week, but it has compacted down to about 8" in most spots.
I set up on the "Gazebo" Pond, which the wind had swept pretty clear of snow. There was about 7" of hard white ice.
I had been hoping for some bass, but didn't have a single flag in the 2 & 1/2 hours that i fished the Pond.
On the plus side, I did get in some X-country skiing (the snow conditions were nearly ideal), and fished a nearby brook, where I caught a tiny (2") brook trout on part of a dilly worm.
