I walked out of Chapman at 12:30 or so, left around 3, just too windy.  When I walked out there were 8 or 9 shacks around, when I left, there was just one other left.
I did have marks and chasers but nothing would commit.  They would run up from the bottom and linger under my jig and then dash back down.
We will see what tomorrow or Sunday bring.  May try one more day, or a day early next week. Otherwise, I think I am done for the season.

Oh and Cookies rocks, he gave me at least double what I paid for.
I left there (Chapmans) today at 12:30. Started before sunrise. Winds became unbearable. Fishing was tough. Caught 3 short walleyes at daybreak and managed 4 nice perch by jigging higher in the water column as well. Seemed to be the trick the last couple days.
Was my last trip for the year on the ice. Learn a little more each year on Oneida. Some really talented fisherman up there on that ice. I have a huge amount of respect for all of you. It’s always bittersweet for me this time of year. I really love to ice fish. Hope everyone has a great finish..!! Time to get the boat ready. Stripers just around the corner....

Right back at ya Deadeyez!!
I always look forward to reading yours as well on here. Especially when I’m up there fishing. Oneida is special. It fishes very similar to a lake I grew up fishing in Minnesota. Tons of structure and deep water flats.  Everyone is super nice, helpful and laid back up there. I really like it. Safe rest of the season to ya!
Caught a beautiful sunrise yesterday morning.
Was a great finish to a great season!

Just came off 3" fresh powder over 13" ice. 7 frozen slush 6 black. Never marked so many fish and caught so few.

Same problem. Ton of marks. All lookers. Ice was singing today with a couple “ice quakes”. Couple more days and I think my season is done.

Was it a school of perch? I have been looking for them!

5 degrees at my house this morning and I am sure it is colder on lake. Hopefully that can negate some of this heat coming our way.

That limit of perch and18" eyes are mine could you clean them up I'll be over this evening to pick them up 😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you sit around all day and do nothing your a bum, but if you sit in a boat all day or in a shanty and do nothing they call you a fisherman

Not hardwater related, but I checked the chittenango lions website today and it says the opening weekend derby is on for this year!

Nice to see you found some hungry ones. I think I’ll try my last trip of the season tomorrow on the east shore.  Hopefully I can find an auger along the way at one of the shops since I seem to have left mine at the chaumont bay parking lot last week 😩
I prefer a 2oz sinker for perch...when it hits 'em they won't feel a thing

Great haul DeadEyez! The dark colors on that tank perch are awesome. Don't think I've ever seen one that dark before

Nice job DeadEyez... I was off Godfrey yesterday afternoon in 18, 26, 39, 35 and 29 fow. Very tight lipped. 1 short eye to show for it. Wind shifted coming from east didn't help.
