Outdoors writer Scott Samson died recently.He contributed to several NYS magazines and local papers.He was also president of the NYS outdoors writer association.And I'm told quite a sportsmen him self.My condolances to his family and friends.Although I didn't personal know Scott.I looked forward to reading his many stories and reports.A true loss to the outdoors comunity.

Amen.  I received the notice about his passing about a week or so ago.  As a member of NYSOWA, I can say we will surely miss him.  Like Paul Keesler's passing, Scott is leaving a void.  He was a past President of NTSOWA, current President is Melody Tennity.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to the Samson family.....
