anyone catch stockies at night?

 just wondering if it'd be worth a try, anyone with any experience fishing for trout through the ice at night?

Best times for me have been right at dawn and dusk.

I have not had any bites after dark ice fishing.

I have heard of people shining lights into the water to catch trout. (open water)

I wonder if this would work on the ice?

Used to have very good luck with trout after dark fishing open water but haven’t tried yet through the ice.  It is on my list of things to try this year though.

I night fish all the time on a nearby lake here in montana for stocked cutthroat trout.  The fishing can be fantastic.  I tend to use jigs that glow and some bait.  I usually have a lantern on the ice, can't say if the light brings them in or not.

i have caught a few after dark, most nights i do well just after twilight passes then i pack up so i dont know what happens after that.
