I know I'll be headed out somewhere on Sunday.  I'm waiting for a report on a local lake but if that isn't ready,  I'll make the trip up.  Mauch Chunk,  Bradys,  or maybe further if I have to.  The closest place that I have confirmation of safe ice.  So far that's the Gouldsboro/Tobyhanna area.

Everything is snow covered and it’s snowing up here now.  So bring a spud and be safe, guys.

I was there on Wed. and most of Snow Shanty area was a solid 3" with a couple inches of snow on top. Wet spots over towards Conservation Island. Be careful if you go out off Pickeral Point and Ridgefield as there is likelly less ice there.

The furtherist.  I'm willing to drive would be Bradys Lake. Its not really in my budget this weekend plus its going to be super cold & 20plus mph winds. Not something I would find enjoyable in my older age. I think Ill pass & hope for a better weekend in the future. I can hunt ducks & deer season is still open here.

I called Carol's bait shop yesterday and she said Mauch Chunk wasn't ready yet. She also said she's got bait delays until next week

I was out there today and there was at least 4 inches of ice with a couple inches of powder on top. Used my spud out to the other side of the kayak launch basin and it was 4inches and maybe even slightly more. The  creek channel looks to be still wet so I didn't try to cross over towards conservation island, but I did see a guy come from another launch and setup on the other side of the creek channel and he was moving around all day. Good luck to all who try tomorrow and stay safe!

I'm planning on heading up north on Monday. Thinking Tobyhanna just cause it's 25-30 min south of Pland but could be persuaded. Anyone planning on heading north Monday? I'm going solo but would prefer to fish near others just in case trouble arises.
