why break ice to duck hunt?  a big blue tarp staked in the ground in the middle of a cornfield with weighted decoys on it limits out more often than not that time of year...easier on the back too (save the ice chopping for the augers).  ;)

Heard on the news tonight.  Lows in the lower 20s and some snow action.  Might start to see some skim ice on some smaller ponds.

Earliest season yet? ;D

Did someone say icing in Dec. I'll be on sometime in Dec. I take vacation for the last half of Dec. 3in. ice travel light and slow. Nothing like sitting on the ice pulling up some slabs watching the waves on some open water.
