has anyone caught these big guys on ice. I got one once off Murry it was so big it wouldn't fit through the hole.I'm gusseing 40+"

Yeah have caught 38 "er in hudson lake on dead chub in 20fow. faught like hell on tipup, but i dont fish for em much at all, i just take pics and let em go. rather catch pike..

If fishing for them, i always do a double 8" hole just for that reason. In the summer i caught a nice 48" just off the west side launch....There are quite a few in there from the stocking they do......also a lot of gar pike.
