Sweet!  4 of us heading up for the first time w/Bruin Outfitters guiding us on 3/13 and 3/14.

You guys find em yourself or get a guide service?

Looks like the weather was nice....

Big Rattlin Raps or what did you guys use for lures? 

How much ice?

I have a good feeling I'm going to beat my personal best of 29 1/4".

Just a suggestion but if you are going to a place that has nice eyes, I would take a few 2.5-4 inch Swedish pimples.  I like the silver ones that have chartreuse green prism tape, or the white with orange tape.  Either one tipped with a minnow is killer.  I live near the Saginaw Bay in Michigan, one to the greatest walleye waters in the country and they are my go to lures for ice fishing the bay.  In fact, I would say that 80% of my fish comes off those two lures.  I use the silver in clear water and the white when the water is dirtier.  I would certainly take a couple with me!

I've heard rattle baits are the key baits for big eyes on lake Winnipeg. I've always wanted to go there but haven't a clue where to go for the chance at catching big fish.  I'd be driving all the way from the West Coast.  Anyone want to point me in the right direction of the big walleye?

Yep. Lipless cranks. Rattle spoons. Jig and minnow.

Go to the mouth of the red. This year was a lot better than last year.

Got some nice size eyes out of the big lake this year but nothing like yours, nice job.
