Been a while since I have been there. I was wondering how is the fishing now. Haven't seen a recent post. Thanks, Al

Hi Al,
I went up over MLK day with a few buddies. There were some huge Ice heaves that made some of the lake "unavailable" if you will. Just follow the crowds or their tracks and stay away from the heaves and you should be good. The ice was plenty thick when we went but time has passed so who knows.

We tried for Perch in the day and walleye at night. Perch were few and far between. We got about 3-4 jumbos, lots of smaller ones.

For walleyes, we marked a few, but only caught 2 all trip. They just would not hit our offerings.

Good luck. PM me if you need more details, but I don't have much more.

A bunch of my buddies were in the tournament/derby they had this last weekend. No real luck for them from the sounds of it but a couple of them fished it the week before and caught some really nice perch however only one walleye. Plenty of ice where they were fishing and they had a CO come out and check them in his truck. He didn't even check their licenses, just looked at the fish in the bucket, took notes and BS'd with them a bit.
