i seen a couple of digital cameras today i think i am gonna get one of them. they seem simple enough to operate. this is gonna be a great season and i will definately get it on a camera, plus i think i am gonna do some video with the camcorder. hope i can post a video or two on here.

buy one mike. go simple and cheap. you can upgrade later, and give the cheap one to your kids!

do you know how the camcorders are in the winter and also, how is a battery in the cold? i found a cheap camera around the house but don't have the instructions and therefore it is useless to me because i haven"t figured it out yet. definitely will buy one though! that's my first priority this season. thanks pooley.

most digitals have a video feature. buy one that takes regular batteries. i got my digital in march, and never changed the batteries! you all know how many pictures i posted. i have over 1000 on my pictures, on the same set! LITHIUM!!!!!

I'm sorry for the miss information there pooley, i was referring to a video camera. i thought i remembered hearing that the batteries don't hold up well.

that's why you should look a regular digitals. with the right camera card, you can get a few minutes of video, and still take regular pictures. not so good the other way round.

My wife just me a 2gig card for my digital camera. Now it will hold 1500 high quality pictures or just over an hour of video.

MAN DO I HAVE THE ITCH!! Don't get me wrong I like open water fishing as well but I just can never wait til the hard water sets in. Mud I may take a seat in your pemanent for a while out on Gull! lol I dont think you are in danger of running out of room! Unless the fish are under my dx4000 lol, cant wait for the season and looking forward to meeting some of my Michigan hardwater bretheren! 8)

Back in july guys asked me why i was wearing a iceshanty shirt. And just yesterday they asked me the same thing. These crazy people want a warm weather. I pray for early ice every day, to toughen the week, and so I can go fishing.

well i use tip-ups on open water. i use a noodle duck taped into a circle and a tip-up held on with small bungees. you fish them just like you were on ice except you are in a kayak. i don:t put the limit out as far as the amount of tip-ups because it can get crazy at times which makes it hard to manage them all. but i do real good with this technique and have caught some nice trout and bass.
