Hmm...depends perhaps on what the wife allows...I need to get some sort of a sled - the toboggan just doesn't cut it.  I'd like to get some sort of a portable shelter - with a wife and 3 kids, I'd probably need one of the bigger ones in case there are 3 of us out there.  Other than that, I'll probably just stick with tackle and something to make my boots a bit less slippery....

yeah bob, i may be looking to loose a couple.  i figure the permanent one will be cool for short trips near home.  i have the one man for days when alone and exploring new water (seems to be more and more without the lil one :(  oh well)  and a big one for family reunions....lol.  i have an (sit down) idea for a really cool shanty i may do for next yr!
yeah it would be cool to come up for a couple days at a pop maybe 2 times before the "classic" to fine tune the presentation!

my son got one last year for xmas and it has become a regular piece of ice fishing equipment for us!!we fished a laker tourney in a blizzard and watched a couple really good movies when the bite was cold(it never was anything but on this particular outing  :-\ not much for sound i would reccomend a headset or secondary speaker setup!happy shopping!by the way how big does it have to be to be considered a bigscreen when you are talking for your shanty??  ;D  :D

shanty, auger, new rods, reels, line, more bobbers, more tipups, they are few and not the greatest, line for  the tipups, vex, aqua vu, quad to get me there, warmer clothes such as the polar undies, thick polar weight boots and gloves, coveralls, jigging lures such as pimples, well I could get them off of any teenagers face!!!!!  lol

That is all I could think of for now...

Where is that bag of gold that is floating around!!???

One of the local fishing stores started putting out the new ice gear, and I knew I had to have the Jiffy Teflon-coated ice chipper/skimmer.  I didn't need it, I really didn't, but the devil made me buy it! >:(   So all day I've been telling myself that fishing equipment is a household necessity, sorta like TV sets, and we just can't function without THEM.  Who cares if I can't use the skimmer for another 3 months, I'll have it when I do need it! ;D Next - the new sled!

Teflon coated skimmer :o
Does that make it slip down the hole to the bottom of the lake a bit faster?

Yes, yes I am planning on new gear. I'm building a new shack right now, 6x8 foot. We built it just like a house. It's heavy, but we have skis mounted on it, and removeable wheels. It's wired for electricity (running off 2 optima deep cycles and a converter), has red lights for 'eye fishing at night, a stereo system, a 13" tv, and a grill built on the back for brat perfection (yes, I'm from wisconsin originally (go pack go!)). We also have hammocks set up. I built the door 31" wide so we could get my gf's disabled grandpa into the shack. We built a sled platform for his wheelchair, which will be towed by my new snowmobile. I already have the auger, the vex, the poles, and the clothes...the only thing left on my wishlist is the tip-up pager system so we can sleep until it goes off! I should have it long before hardwater comes to Upper Michigan!

Kilitandgrillit,
You're a man after my heart. Sounds like you've got all the necessities for a good day on the ice. If I built one of those, my wife would have to send out the search parties to find me. I'm bad enough with my portable.
