Eskimo Wide 1 Inferno seat
« on: Jan 31, 2020, 05:57 PM »
I have a Eskimo Wide 1 Inferno.  Why did they not put a seat that flips over in it from the factory. Would sure be easier to get stuff out and under it. Has anyone converted the seat to make it flip?  Looked up Eskimo price to buy a flip seat and its expensive. Thought maybe some one did a do it your self project. I do have a welder. Thanks

Are you talking about the ones that flip over the edge of the tub like in the Sierra line? The parts listed on their site show that it should only be about $65 to get the parts if you use the seat and swivel that came with your Wide 1. I expect that it would not be as solid as the fixed bars that come with it, but should work. The canopy area in the Wide 1 is fairly roomy, but may not feel big enough to stand, flip a seat forward and be able to root around under it. Have a look at my Wide 1 build in my sig for some ideas on mods that can be done to it.

A bit late to this thread, l but I made this mod last week. My back doesnt bend enough for me to reach crap in the under seat net
Eskimo has in these- cant reach it. I noticed that the EVo series had a flip seat, so I simply copied the idea converting my Wide 1 Inferno
What I really like now, is  I can fit my baby 5 pound propane tank, sonar, shack battery box and fish camera all under the seat leaving the main tub fairly open

Did yours not come with the net that goes under the seat for storage?

In the sled part I only keep my rod bag, buddy heater, vexilar, and small aluminum scoop, drill with 6in áuger, and 3 gallon bucket. Everything else goes in the net under the seat and is easy to get.......haven't really had any problem with stuff under the seat with the mesh basket under seat.

I'm old, fat and have a messed up back, I cant bend enough to reach under the seat, so I took the net out.
I can barely get socks on some days

I need the seat fixed because I use it to lift the sled into my truck.
